Fitch Ratings Upgrades BTA Subsidiary
International rating agency Fitch Ratings has announced an uplift in the long-term issuer default rating (IDR) of LLS "BTA Bank", a JSC "BTA Bank" Russian subsidiary, from "B-" to "B+". At the same time, the issuer’s sovereign rating has been upped to "A-" with a stable outlook. The bank’s other ratings have been affirmed at "B" for the short-term IDR and at "D/E" for the individual rating.

"BTA Bank" JSC has repaid usd 530.9 mln
On March 13, 2008 "BTA Bank" JSC has repaid USD 530.9 mln representing the first tranche of USD 1,111 mln. Global syndicated loan facility and USD 15 mln accrued interest thereon. The facility was attracted in 13.09.2006 and arranged by Bank of Tokyo-Mitsubishi UFJ, Ltd., Commerzbank Aktiengesellschaft and Standard Chartered Bank and named tranche beared 0.35% margin.
