Today Akims (mayors) of Zhezkazgan and Satpayev, top-management of Bank TuranAlem held a meeting with representatives of business community of Karaganda region at "Sary-Arka" cultural-entertainment center. The aim the meeting with 300 businessmen working in various fields: industry, construction, trade and food, was to discuss the issues of cooperation between business and authorities.
Musa Tanabayev, Akim of Zhezkazgan, thanked the bankers for participation in the process of regional problem resolution.
A number of critical issues raised at the meeting included: investments to transportation and communications, crediting at banks, development of regional productive power and administrative barriers. Businessmen pointed out in their presentations the necessity of activation of mortgage schemes in the region. According to them, this will allow to attract spare assets from population to real sector of economy.
"Support of SME development and expansion of retail products proposition to clients are principal to us" – highlighted in his speech Saduakas Mameshtegi, BTA Chairman. "In particular, BTA offers businessmen credits up to 10 years, as well as various products under credit lines of Asian and Islamic Banks for Development. BTA is ready to finance starting business, offer privileged period for paying off a debt and interests. We are confident in leasing development. In August, in Zhezkazgan and by the end of 2006 in Zhana-Arka village we will open new Customer Service Centers. In Satpayev, current branch office will be transformed into Banking Services Center with expanded range of services, and we will open a new branch office."
