Erzhan Tatishev Fund and rectors of Kazakhstan leading universities will sign Memorandums on educational grants for gifted students04.02.2007
On February 5, 2007 Public Fund of Erzhan Tatishev and rectors of Kazakhstan-British Technical University (KBTU), Kazakhstan Institute of Management, Economics, and Strategic Research (KIMEP) and University of International Business (UIB) on programme of awarding grants to gifted students from poor families.
Erzhan Tatishev Fund is planning to give out educational grants based on the results of competitive examination, which consists of 3 stages. Main criteria for examination: leader qualities, academic knowledge and achievements, personal characteristics.
Educational grant is given out by the Fund for all educational period. The size of the grant is considered and approved annually by Curators Board of the Fund. After approval, trilateral agreement is signed by student, university and the Fund.
Already this year Curators Board will choose 6 BA applicants (2 students from each of the three partner-universities). It is also decided to award grants to 4 Kazakhstan citizens and 2 students from CIS countries.

Sign9ing of the Memorandum will take place on Monday, February 5, 2007 at 3 pm, address: 97, Zholdasbekov str., Almaty.
Public Fund of Erzhan Tatishev was established on February 10, 2005 by the initiative of Bank TuranAlem top-management. The Fund is a non-governmental and non-commercial organization. The Fund is managed by Curators Board, which defines its strategic goals and tasks.
