Kazakhstan Philharmonic Orchestra "TuranAlem" has presented its first concert at one of the prestigious halls of London25.03.2007 / Press-service
On 23rd March, the first concert of Kazakhstan Philharmonic Orchestra "TuranAlem" was held at St. James concert hall in London – one of the largest and ambitious cultural projects of Kazakhstan and CIS established under patronage of JSC "Bank TuranAlem" and the management of well-known Kazakhstan musician Marat Bisengaliev.
Mukhtar Ablyazov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC "Bank TuranAlem", an outstanding Kazakhstan musician Marat Bisengaliev, a well-known conductor James Sedares and Nigel Hichko, a composer and an author of creation "Memory of Heart", devoted to the first Chairman of the Board of JSC "Bank TuranAlem" Erzhan Tatishev, took part in presentation.
Patrons and experts of classical music, friends, BTA western partners and foreign mass media also were invited to this great event.
Welcoming the audience, Mukhtar Ablyazov, Chairman of the Board of Directors of JSC "Bank TuranAlem" noted: "The idea of the fist concert of "TuranAlem" orchestra in London is being held following the bank’s social responsibility, where BTA is the conductor of state interests in other countries".
It is symbolically that presentation of Kazakhstan Philharmonic Orchestra "TuranAlem" is being held during the days of celebration of the spring equinox and Nauryz, a Muslim New Year. This day symbolizes peace and creation, love and consent. Time of prosperity comes with Nauryz, it gives hope and faith in success.
— We believe that social art-project will help to promote the culture of Kazakhstan in the world arena, introduce world standards within the classic music of the Republic and establish humanitarian relations between countries, Mukhtar Ablyazov commented.
After a London tour, Kazakhstan Philharmonic Orchestra "TuranAlem" plans to perform its program on domestic stage on April 4, 2007.
It is also necessary to note, that creation of the philharmonic orchestra with world-class musicians was completed after successfully conducting of two art-projects "Concerts on Mother land" in 2005-2006 years organized by Cultural Social Fund of Marat Bisengaliev under JSC "Bank TuranAlem" general sponsorship and Almaty and Astana akimats’ assistance.
