BTA Bank financed a mineral cotton production plant in the East of Kazakhstan30.04.2009 / Press-service
On April 30, 2007 after reconstruction was completed the opening ceremony of the mineral cotton production plant with productive capacity of 30mn tons per year had taken place in Glubokoye village close to Ust’-Kamenogorsk.
The total cost of “Vostok-Universal” Ltd. project is amounting at USD 27,5mn where USD 17,5mn has been allocated by BTA Bank. The financing was aimed at plant reconstruction, equipment acquisition, carrying out of works on output of mineral needed at Karauzek deposit as well as replenishment of floating funds.
The plant produces the mineral cotton using the rock components which of a high quality and environmentally sound in comparison with mineral cotton made out of dross. Mineral cotton produced out of stone is considered as one of the best materials for thermal and acoustic insulation as well as for fire protection. Judging by the thermal insulation effectiveness of the mineral cotton – a mineral cotton layer of a 5 cm thick is equal to brickwork of 70 cm. At present, the mineral cotton production plant in such a quality and production capacity is the only one on the territory of the Republic of Kazakhstan. The necessity in mineral cotton products, until the plant was launched, was filled by 100% of import of this product from the Russian Federation.
