Security code – PIN (Personal Identification Number). Security PIN-code is given to the cardholder in the sealed envelope. It is recommended to open the envelope on the spot, memorize PIN-code and destroy the envelope. Also the cardholder is advised to keep PIN-code confidential and in no case to write it on the card itself. In no circumstances shall PIN-code be known to a third person.

Attention!

Due to the fact that payment card with PIN-code should be used only by Payment Cardholder, the Payment Cardholder unconditionally undertakes to settle all operations confirmed by correctly entered PIN-code and/or signature of the holder of main/additional card, as well as Parameters of authorization (User name, password, memorable word) in the Internet-Banking/SMS-Banking system, if prior to such operations the Bank has not been provided with an application to block of abolish the card, in accordance with the terms of the agreement on issue of payment cards of MasterCard International/Visa International payment systems and SmartAlem local payment system.

Operations with use of PIN-code shall not be disputed by the Cardholder. If the Cardholder lost or forgot PIN-code or PIN-code became known to a third person, the card must be reissued immediately.

PIN-code in ATM was entered incorrectly, the card was blocked. What should I do?

  • In case you entered PIN-code incorrectly or your requested amount exceeded the balance available on card, respective notification will be show on display and execution of card transaction will be cancelled, after which ATM will offer you to reenter the code.

    Be careful! You are given only three attempts to enter PIN-code correctly.

  • Attempts of erroneously entered PIN are aggregated, i.e. if you have once entered PIN erroneously and repeated it again, you will have just one attempt to enter a correct PIN. If you enter incorrect PIN for the third time, your card will be blocked. In this case kindly contact the Bank’s Card Service at: +7 (727) 2505-111, +7 (8000) 805-806 (toll-free line around Kazakhstan) or a card specialist.

    If you come up against this problem abroad, please kindly contact the bank owning that ATM, and ask the bank employees to assist you in returning your card.

  • After returning of the card you will need to contact the issuing bank by phones: +7 (727)2505-111, +7 (8000) 805-806 (toll-free number around Kazakhstan) and reset the attempts of incorrect entering of PIN-code. For this purpose you will need to contact card account manager in your city.

In each case, clarification of circumstances is required.

I forgot PIN-code of my payment card. What should I do?

  • Please kindly contact units of the Bank and write an application to reissue a card.

Blocking of the card due to loss / theft thereof. What should I do?

    First of all, you need to block the card by calling to Card Service by phones:

    • +7 (8000) 805-806 (toll-free number around Kazakhstan)

    After having blocked the card, please kindly do the following:

    • If it is a salary card, please contact accountants of your company or account manager of BTA Bank.
    • If it is another card, please contact your account manager in the bank unit.
