Shifts in Board of Directors of Bank TuranAlem and TemirBank
Three executives from BTA and two independent directors have joined the Board of Directors of Temirbank. Murat Yuldashev has been appointed the Chairman. Electing new Board of Directors has been due to the shifts in the shareholder’s structure. The membership of Temirbank Management Board has been reduced from 5 to 3 members, and Ablakhat Kebirov chairs the Board.

It is scheduled to put silicon metal manufacturing plant into operation in the 4th quarter of 2007. Yesterday Bank TuranAlem placed 7-year 250 million USD Eurobonds. The deal was offered at 7.75% p.a. yield. Spread between the yields on 10-year U.S. Treasury bonds came to 307 basic points. The demand for Eurobonds exceeded the final sum of the deal 2 times.

Canadian export finance credit line has been increased in 2,4 times
JSC Bank TuranAlem and Export Development Canada (EDC) have signed an agreement on alteration into the last year agreement on a credit line establishment in the amount of USD25 million. According to a new agreement, amount of the credit line for export finance of Canadian merchandise and services into Kazakhstan and CIS states has been increased up to USD60 million, either of its equivalent in Canadian dollars or in Euro.

ABN AMRO has closed a USD 150 million mortgage-backed securitisation for BTA Ipoteka, the consumer lending subsidiary of Bank TuranAlem. The transaction is the first true sale* securitisation of mortgage loans that raises international funding backed by consumer assets located in Kazakhstan.
