Bank TuranAlem Facelifts its Foreign Representative Offices
Bank TuranAlem JSC has opted to shake up its representative offices abroad. Thus, its representative office in Russia with a previous target to attract clients in trade finance, research the Russian market and establish contacts with clients in Russia, will be now focusing on drawing clients for BTA projects of investment financing. The Russian office has coped with promotion of trade finance in Russia and from now on BTA Financial Institutions and Global Trade Finance Division is charged in this regard.

On 20th June, 2007, The Chairman of the Board of Directors, JSC "Bank TuranAlem" Mukhtar Ablyazov and Chief Executive Officer of ORIX corporation Yoshihiko Miyauchi have signed the Memorandum on mutual cooperation (Agreement on Alliance) in the office of ORIX corporation (Tokyo).

BTA demonstrates growth of key financial indexes
From the period January 1, 2007 to April 1, 2007 the assets of Bank TuranAlem have grown 18.5% to US$19.4 bln. As a result, the Bank’s market share by assets comprised 24.6%. The main driver of asset growth was the loan portfolio, which grew to 66.5% of total assets as of end 1Q. Loans to SME and retail comprised 40% of the loan portfolio.
